In my opinion, an Oreo is as close as one could get to a perfect cookie.

Oreos are great on so many levels. They’re chocolate, they’ve got crème filling, and they encourage you to break them apart. What cookie loving human being would not love a cookie that provides so much yet asks so little?

Over the years Oreo has tried to “shake things up” in the cookie world. They’ve had Chocolate Crème Oreos, Peanut Butter Creme Oreos, and my personal favorite Double Stuffed Oreos; I liked the Double Stuffed because it made me feel like I was getting double the cookie at the same price, and I'm always looking for a good deal.

Well, Oreos are at it again, releasing this brand new Limited Edition flavor …

Oreo Strawberry Milkshake Crème.

In terms of choices of filling, Strawberry Milkshake Crème seems like a rather random selection. I’d have expected caramel, or maybe some combo of chocolate and peanut butter, but Strawberry Milkshake Crème would have never been on my radar.

Don’t get me wrong, I enjoy a good strawberry milkshake, but when I’m sitting down sipping one on a hot summer day I’m not normally thinking, “You know, this would taste good stuffed inside a cookie …”, and normally I think most things taste good stuffed inside a cookie, that’s why I prefer when women I’m with cover themselves in Fig Newtons.

Trust me, it adds to the experience.

I’m not going to judge this concept until I try it though, as for all I know the cookies could blow me away and make me want to change my last name to Strawberry Milkshake Creme …

As you can see, the cookies look just like traditional Oreos, only they’re filled with a pinkish crème as opposed to the classic white. When broken apart, the pink crème really does stand out …

The pink compliments the black very well, which should be no surprise, as Bret Hart proved that even the toughest guy can pull off that color combination. However, even though Bret Hart wore these colors with manly pride, these Oreos still feel very feminine to me. I feel as if I should be eating a box of these while getting my nails done and listening to Colbie Calillat songs on my computer. No cookie has made me feel that way since the Nilla Wafer manicure incident of 2001.

I don’t want to talk about it.

Not only do these cookies put me in touch with my feminine side, but they also give off a very distinct strawberry smell, probably the most distinct smell I have ever had emanate from a cookie in my possession. Most cookies, unless they’re freshly baked, don’t give off a very distinct scent, but these do. That makes me all the more interested in chowing down on a few.

I’m sure a lot of guys would have been insecure eating a cookie filled with pink crème, but I’m not. As such, I chowed down on a few of these flamboyant Oreos and was taken aback at how good they actually were.

You get a very, very strong strawberry taste when eating these things, and since I’m a big fan of all things strawberry, that means I loved these guys.

They have the same texture as the classic Oreos, but the strawberry crème gives it an extra kick. The only thing I can compare it to is Nesquik Strawberry Milk, which is an insanely random thing to compare anything to since almost nobody drinks that beverage, however the three people out there who do really appreciated the comparison.

I can’t compliment these cookies enough, it’s a unique spin on a classic cookie, and as such it’s got the Ken Tuccio Cookie Seal of Approval, which is the highest honor any cookie can get.

As soon as you can, I’d buy a box of these cookies, grab a glass of milk, throw on a loose pair of sweatpants, and watch reruns of Friends while chowing down on them like there’s no tomorrow.
